What is Microneedling?

Simply put, microneedling is the insertion of very fine short needles into the skin for rejuvenation. The most popular (and cost-effective) microneedling device, known as a dermaroller, comprises micro-fine needles that range in diameter from 0.5 and 2.5 millimeters. But, if the prospect of multiple needle wounds sounds slightly ominous to you, know that the punctures are more like pin-pricks that enter only surface-level deep.

A tool is used to cause tiny punctures in the skin. The tiny micro-needles catalyse the skin’s own natural healing response and create a micro-channels for higher absorption of product. This produces and rebuilds the skin’s own collagen and elastin, resulting in a reduction of fine wrinkles/lines and overall plumping effect. Micro needling can also help tackle other skin conditions such as scarring, pigmentation, acne and saggy skin.
